Summer and Early Fall Natural Clear Water Lakes

In the summer when the water temps climb into the 60°s & 70°s fish on clear water lakes in Northern Wisconsin, move to suspend over open water and deep humps. This makes for an exciting time of the year and is my favorite time of the year for BIG WALLEYES! Fish can be caught both casting and trolling, with casting the go-to method. With the aid of side imaging and live , casting at these fish on deep humps and over open water has become the go to method and is much more active and enjoyable. It’s hard to beat a slip bobber and a leech this time of the year!

“These big fish are very special; LVO imposes a strict Catch & Release policy on all fish over 25 inches. “
